A 100 Year Old Welcome Fest Near Hotel in Everett

A Yearly Welcome in Snohomish

From July 12th to the 16th 2017 expect loads and loads of fun for families at the historic district of Snohomish via the annual Kla Ha Ya Days Festival. People come in droves to celebrate Kla Ha Ya Days. It’s a tradition more than a hundred years old. The native word Kla Ha Ya means welcome and Snohomish welcomes you all to experience old fashioned summertime fun and enjoy the town.

What’s in store?

A grand parade and a street fair are the highlights, joined by fun contests, a car show, a fun run, and a carnival. But there are lots more to expect. The brightly costumed and decorated parade will be held along 1st Street from Ave D to Maple starting at 10:30 am on Saturday, July 15. The street fair, also on July 15, 10:00 am – 6:00 pm, displays some of the best shopping through the nearly 100 crafts and commercial booths and still more – fabulous antique stores, art galleries, boutiques, salons, diverse stores, bars and restaurants, and eco-friendly businesses. The street fair is located on historic Union, Glen, Pearl and Cedar Streets in Downtown Snohomish.

Apart from a carnival, a 5k to 10k fun run, and a car show, families will also enjoy a magical, musical and traveling circus, outdoor movies, a soccer tournament, skydiving demonstrations, bingo games, and kids’ contests like Baby Crawl and The Treasure Hunt, or those endless eating contests for ice cream, pie, and watermelon. Food courts are around to taste regional dishes and the main stage’s musical numbers to enjoy

The Kla Ha Ya Days Festival has grown to become one of the largest and most popular festivals in Northwest Washington, attracting visitors and locals throughout the region. Folks who are environmentally conscious, health-focused, family-minded, and community-oriented find the festival along the famed Snohomish river really awesome.

The Kla Ha Ya Days Festival (KHYDF) is a nonprofit organization that produces an annual local festival, to welcome people throughout Northwest Washington to celebrate the community’s beauty, and goodwill of Snohomish. Proceeds from the KHYDF’s activities support Snohomish-based community organizations with programs and services for youth and families.
